Swiss solariums are regulated by the NISSG and its ordinance, the V-NISSG, in force since 1 June 2019: operators must follow their rules on installing, using and maintaining solariums. Parcels can weigh up to 30 kg, and trade orders are charged in pounds sterling (GBP), not francs.

The Federal Office of Public Health (BAG) explains on its solarium page that operators must comply with the NISSG and the V-NISSG on the installation, use and maintenance of solariums; both came into force on 1 June 2019. The BAG publishes a guide for operators and an enforcement aid for the authorities that check them.
