Reviews & Prize Draw Policy

1. About This Policy

This policy explains how MEGATAN ("we", "us") collects, checks and publishes customer reviews on megatanonline.com, and how our monthly review prize draw works. It should be read together with our Privacy Policy and Terms & Conditions.

In short: we publish honest reviews whatever the rating, we tell you when a review was written in return for a prize-draw entry, and we never remove or hide a review because of how many stars it gives.

2. How We Collect Reviews

There are two ways to leave a review:

• On a product page — the written review form at the bottom of every product page. Anyone can submit one; you do not need an account.
• Voice reviews in the app — signed-in customers can record a spoken review of something they have bought from their account area. We transcribe the recording, you check and correct the words, then you add a star rating and submit.

We do not write reviews ourselves, pay third parties to write them, or import reviews from other sites.

3. Verified Purchase

A review is marked Verified when the email address it was submitted with matches an order for that product in our records. Voice reviews can only be recorded for products you have bought, so they are always verified purchases. A review without the Verified mark may still be genuine — it simply means we could not match it to an order.

4. Moderation

Every review is checked before it is published:

• Automated screening looks for abuse, personal data, spam and health or medical claims that we are not allowed to publish (for example, claims that a product treats a condition).
• A member of our team then reads the review and decides whether to publish it.

A review is only rejected for a moderation reason — for example abuse, spam, content about a different product, a prohibited health claim, or personal information about someone else. We never reject, delay or hide a review because of its rating or because it is negative. Whenever a review is rejected, the reason is recorded against it.

We may reply publicly to a review. We do not edit the wording of your review; if a review cannot be published as written, it is rejected with a reason rather than changed.

5. Incentives and Labelling

Written reviews left on a product page are not rewarded in any way.

Voice reviews recorded in the app enter you into our monthly prize draw. You are told this before you submit. To keep the incentive honest:

• The entry is identical for every rating. One star earns exactly the same single entry as five stars. Nothing about the draw depends on what you say or how you score the product.
• The entry is created when the review is published, not when it is submitted, and a review is published or rejected on moderation grounds only (see section 4).
• Incentivised reviews are labelled "Entered into a prize draw" wherever they are shown, so readers can see that the review was written in return for a draw entry. Voice reviews also carry a "Voice review" mark.

We do not offer money, discounts, free products or any other reward for reviews, and we do not offer anything in return for changing or removing a review.

6. Prize Draw Terms

• Promoter: MEGATAN, megatanonline.com. No purchase beyond the product being reviewed is required.
• Who can enter: signed-in customers aged 18 or over who record a voice review in the app of a product they have bought.
• Entry: one entry for each review that is published. Entries are not affected by the rating given. You can enter more than once by reviewing different products; only one entry is given per product per customer.
• Draw period: monthly. Entries are counted in the calendar month (UK time) in which the review is published, and close at the end of that month.
• Draw date: the winner is chosen on the 1st of the following month by random selection from all published entries for that month. Our team cannot influence which entry is chosen.
• Prize: [PRIZE — to be set by MEGATAN]. The prize for each month is published on this page before that month's draw. There is no cash alternative, and the prize cannot be transferred.
• Notification: the winner is notified by email to the address on their account within 7 days of the draw. If we cannot reach the winner within 14 days of that email, we may draw again.
• Publicity: we may announce the winner's first name and county. We will ask before using anything more than that.
• Removed reviews: if a review is removed by its author before the draw, its entry is withdrawn. Entries from reviews found to be fake, abusive or written in breach of this policy are void.
• Our team: MEGATAN employees and their immediate families are not eligible.
• This draw is governed by the law of England and Wales.

7. Editing or Removing Your Review

Signed-in customers can edit or delete their own reviews at any time from Menu › My reviews in their account area. An edited review is checked again before it is republished. Deleting a review withdraws its draw entry if the draw for that month has not yet taken place. If you left a written review without an account, email us and we will remove it for you.

8. Your Data

Reviews are shown with the name you give us and never with your email address. Voice recordings are stored privately, are used only to produce the transcript and to check the review, and are not published. See our Privacy Policy for how long we keep them and your rights.

9. Changes to This Policy

We may update this policy from time to time. Changes are posted on this page with a revised "last updated" date. Changes to the prize draw terms apply to draw periods that start after the change.
