A tingle tanning lotion (UK: tingle) contains ingredients such as benzyl nicotinate or methyl nicotinate that increase blood flow to the surface of the skin. The skin warms, reddens for a while and, for experienced tanners, the session feels more intense.
Tingles are the one family of indoor tanning lotion that is not for everyone. They are for tanning beds only, for people with an established base tan, and never for the face, sensitive skin or a first session. Read the whole page before you buy one.

How strong is strong?
Brands grade tingles from mild to hot, and MEGATAN's taxonomy records a tingle intensity for each product so you can compare across brands. Mild tingles suit tanners trying the effect for the first time; hot tingles from Devoted Creations, Supre Tan and Power Tan are for people who use them regularly.
A tingle can be an accelerator (no color) or a tingle bronzer. If you have never used a tingle, choose a mild accelerator tingle first and use it on the body only. Apply a small amount, avoid freshly shaved skin, and do not layer it with a second tingle.
Who should not use a tingle
Beginners, anyone with sensitive or reactive skin, and anyone who wants to tan their face. The redness is the product working, but on skin that is not used to tanning beds it can be uncomfortable for hours. If you are unsure, the safer route is a hybrid bronzer, which gives dark results without the heat.
