    Caramel (Cosmetic Bronzer)

Caramel, in the context of tanning products, functions as a cosmetic bronzer. Unlike DHA (Dihydroxyacetone), which causes a chemical reaction with the skin to produce a gradual tan, caramel offers an instant cosmetic effect. It's essentially a temporary skin stain, giving the appearance of a sun-kissed glow the moment it's applied. This makes it ideal for achieving an immediate colour boost for an event or to enhance the initial appearance of a self-tan. Because it sits on the surface of the skin and is not a developing agent, it will easily wash off with soap and water, leaving no residual tan. This wash-off characteristic is a key differentiator and makes it a popular choice for those seeking a non-committal, instant tan.
