    UV Exposure

    Ultraviolet radiation from sunlight or sunbeds that triggers melanin production in the skin. UVA rays penetrate deeper and are primarily responsible for tanning, while UVB rays affect the surface and are more likely to cause burning. Controlled UV exposure is key to safe tanning.
